Events these days are characterised by turmoil and conflict. In a time where common sense seems to be in short supply, most people agree: The future is far from certain. As a result, the desire for traditional values is experiencing a resurgence – both in society and in fashion. We express this in the new ROY ROBSON 2019 autumn/winter collection, showcasing patterns, fabrics and silhouettes that hark back to a time when people stuck to their principles: British checks, Argyles, houndstooth and pepita, cord, cashmere and flannel. The perfect shapes to achieve this goal are double-breasted styles and darts in the waist; coats are now slightly longer once again. For a modern twist, these are flanked by a continuous procession of three-button sports jackets, overshirts, drawstring trousers and new models of trainer – from revamped athleisure to dad style.
